Hollywood Insider – Every Highly Anticipated Trailer Teased at Netflix’s Tudum 2025

From the chilling tease of the ‘Stranger Things’ final season to the first six minutes of ‘Wednesday’ Season 2, here’s everything Netflix dropped during Tudum 2025.

Netflix’s Tudum Gone Live and In Person

Netflix’s annual fan event Tudum is no longer just a virtual marketing experiment—it’s gone fully in-house.

Netflix’s Tudum fan event was held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and hosted by Sofia Carson.

For the first time ever, Netflix streamed the event live on its own platform, putting the spotlight on its biggest stars, buzziest franchises, and originals all in one nonstop reel of content reveals.

But while Tudum 2025 packed in more trailers than ever before, from major sequels to genre-spanning originals, it also raised the stakes on a question that’s been brewing since Tudum launched in 2020: who, exactly, is this event for?

Let’s not get distracted, though. Because if you’re here, it’s probably for the goods. And Tudum delivered. Here’s a look at the biggest trailers and sneak peeks—and what’s actually worth getting excited about.

‘Stranger Things’ Season 5: The Final and Emotional Season

The wait for the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ has been long—and at Tudum 2025, fans finally got their first real look.

Netflix unveiled a teaser trailer for Season 5 and confirmed that the conclusion will unfold across three volumes. Volume 1 drops on November 26, 2025, followed by Volume 2 on December 25, and the grand finale, Volume 3, on December 31—a rollout similar to Season 4’s two-part format.

Cast members Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp appeared onstage to share early behind-the-scenes footage from the show’s earliest days, reflecting on their journey before revealing the teaser that closed the segment.

Netflix also previously teased the episode titles to fuel fan theories, including: “The Crawl,”, “The Vanishing of [censored for now],” ,“The Turnbow Trap,” ,“Sorcerer,” ,“Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” ,“The Bridge,” and “The Rightside Up.”

Showrunners have also confirmed that the season will take a small leap forward in time. “I’m sure we will do a time jump,” Ross Duffer told ‘TVLine’. “Ideally, we’d have shot [seasons four and five] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that. So these are all discussions we’re going to have with our writers when we start the room up.”

Netflix has since confirmed that the story will jump ahead by about a year, landing in fall 1987, following the events of Season 4, which were set in March 1986.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2: First Six Minutes

Netflix announced exciting news for ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 by revealing the first six minutes of the premiere episode during Tudum.

The new season will also roll out, similar to ‘Stranger Things’, in two parts, with Part 1 set to premiere on August 6, 2025, followed by Part 2 on September 3, 2025.

Lady Gaga confirmed her guest appearance while performing at Tudum. She’ll appear in Part 2 as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy, announced by Netflix.

Star Jenna Ortega, along with director Tim Burton and series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, offered a glimpse into the eerie and unpredictable tone of ‘Wednesday’ Season 2.

While they remained careful not to give too much away, their hints made one thing clear: this season is set to get “even darker and twistier,”.

The storyline will challenge everything fans think they know about Nevermore. “Nothing is what it seems,” the creators warned—signaling that Wednesday will be forced to question not just those around her, but her own instincts.

‘Wake Up Dead Man’: The ‘Knives Out’ Universe Lives

Rian Johnson brought the cast of his latest Benoit Blanc mystery, ‘Wake Up Dead Man,’ for a bit that was equal parts hilarious and chaotic.

Featuring Kerry Washington, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, and Josh Brolin, the segment teased the kind of melodramatic whodunit twists Johnson has made his signature. No full trailer yet, but the banter was enough to let us in for a sneak peak of what’s to come.

‘Happy Gilmore 2’: McGavin’s Back, Baby

Adam Sandler is bringing his iconic golf slacker back to the green—this time with a new twist.

During Tudum, the streamer dropped the official trailer for ‘Happy Gilmore 2’, a sequel to the 1996 cult comedy, now directed by Kyle Newacheck. The film will stream globally on July 25.

Sandler returns as the hard-hitting, hot-tempered golfer that first teed off nearly three decades ago. Joining him once again are familiar faces from the original film, including Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, and Ben Stiller.

But this time, the tee sheet is stacked with exciting new additions. The cast welcomes Benny Safdie, Margaret Qualley, Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, and Kym Whitley, alongside surprise appearances from Eminem and a trio of real-life golf legends—Jack Nicklaus, John Daly, and Jordan Spieth.

Behind the scenes, Sandler reunites with longtime collaborators Tim Herlihy, Robert Simonds, and Jack Giarraputo to produce. Sandler and Herlihy also co-wrote the script for this new chapter, just as they did for the original film.

Speaking to the Dan Patrick Show last year, Sandler opened up about the pressure of returning to one of his most beloved roles. “It’s on your mind,” he admitted. “We’ve got a lot of good stuff, and we just want to make sure that it all comes together and keeps it going from start to finish… We’re definitely nervous, but we feel some sort of confidence.”

Whether it’s nostalgia or just the thrill of watching Sandler take another swing, ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s biggest summer comedies.

‘The Rip’: Affleck and Damon Team Up as Miami Cops

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon star as Miami police officers in Netflix’s upcoming original crime thriller ‘The Rip’. Adding to the buzz, the duo playfully teased each other onstage about struggling to read the teleprompter during the event.

Executive produced by Kevin Halloran and Michael Joe of Artists Equity, the film was given an exclusive early preview—available only to those attending live.

Written and directed by Joe Carnahan, and produced by Artists Equity, ‘The Rip’ seems like it’ll be a pulpy, stylized thriller that will rely heavily on the chemistry between its leads. The film is set to premiere on January 16, 2026.

Since founding Artists Equity in November 2022, Damon and Affleck launched their first production,’Air’, in spring 2023 to strong reviews and box office success

The company has since produced the Amazon MGM documentary ‘Small Things Like These’, with Cillian Murphy, and ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’, which opened this year’s Berlin Film Festival and earned Emily Watson the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Actress. Their most recent release is Apple’s thriller ‘The Instigators’, starring Affleck and Damon.

Is This a Must-Watch for Movie Lovers—or Just Netflix’s Marketing Play?

Tudum 2025 packed in trailers and teasers from every corner of Netflix’s catalog, aiming to excite fans across genres.

But the real question remains: is this event genuinely essential viewing for movie buffs, or is it mostly a flashy way for Netflix to hype its content and boost subscriptions?

With so much jammed into one event—ranging from teen dramas like ‘Outer Banks’ to live-action anime adaptations like ‘One Piece’ to true crime thrillers—it sometimes feels more like a promotional blitz than a focused celebration of storytelling.

Still, whether you tuned in for ‘Stranger Things’, caught a glimpse of ‘Wednesday’, or just enjoyed seeing Ben Affleck fumble the teleprompter, Tudum ensured there was something for everyone to talk about.

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.

I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.”
