‘Harry Potter’ Franchise (2001-2011)

Where to Watch ‘Harry Potter’: Max, Peacock, or your cousin’s well-worn DVDs

Let’s start with the obvious, shall we? ‘Harry Potter’ isn’t just a franchise; it’s a rite of passage. Follow a scrappy orphan with a lightning bolt scar as he navigates wizard school, defeats evil, and survives puberty. Even rewatching as an adult, it never gets old.

Pro Tip: Once you watch all eight original films, dive into the ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ spinoff trilogy!

‘The Lord of the Rings’ & ‘The Hobbit’ Trilogies (2001-2022)

Where to Watch ‘The Lord of the Rings’ & ‘The Hobbit’ Trilogies: Prime Video, Apple TV

Middle-earth is calling… with sweeping vistas, pipe-smoking hobbits, and one very cursed piece of jewelry, this is fantasy at its most majestic. And yes, the extended editions are absolutely worth it.

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ (2003-2017)

Where to Watch ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’: Disney+

Ahoy, mateys! Ready to set sail with the most charmingly unhinged pirate ever to grace the high seas? Jack Sparrow and his motley crew of cursed treasure hunters, rum enthusiasts, and epic swordfighters offer swashbuckling fun with a cheeky twist. From the Black Pearl’s wild escapades to supernatural sea monsters, these movies mix adventure, humor, and just the right amount of mayhem.

We couldn’t do this without mentioning the galaxy far, far away. From the original trilogy’s space heroes to the shiny new rebels of the modern age, ‘Star Wars’ is the ultimate summer binge. Lightsaber duels, epic space battles, and enough family drama to make your own family fights look tame.

‘Divergent’ Trilogy (2014-2016)

Where to Watch The ‘Divergent’ Trilogy: Prime Video, Peacock

You know what they say, nothing says summer fun like totalitarian regimes and genetically pre-determined personality factions! Shailene Woodley leads the charge as Tris, a “Divergent” who, shockingly, doesn’t fit neatly into any societal box. Cue rebellion, betrayal, and at least one shirtless Theo James scene per film.

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, “We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.

I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.”
