Peter Parker has been near and dear to audience’s hearts since his first comic book appearance in 1962. A goofy, nerdy teenager who just so happens to have super-powers. Spider-Man is a common favorite in the Marvel universe, and even more so lately due to his portrayal by Tom Holland. In 2016 Holland first appeared as the beloved character in Captain America: Civil War, and ever since there has been an intense internet debate over who has given audiences the best portrayal of both Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
How Did Tom Holland Make It To Hollywood?
On and off-camera, Tom Holland is extremely passionate about his role. Whether he’s running lines with Robert Downey Jr. or putting on his spidey suit to visit children in the hospital, Tom is truly the embodiment of who Spider-Man is. Holland does most of his own stunt work, and he delivers his lines the way in which you would expect an introverted teenage boy to. A strong part of what makes him the best Spider-Man is purely based on the fact that he is just so convincing. Whether he’s swinging from buildings or working on a science experiment with Ned, the Peter Parker we know now is one that encapsulates all the things audiences would have hoped for the young avenger.
